The PAS audit trail is great for performing audits on permits whether it is at permit closure or during the process. 

The audit trail entries are created automatically and cannot be edited by user.  In version 2.4 of PAS we have added a new feature that allows a PAS user to Add a Comment to the audit trail. 

The benefit of this feature is that users can make a date/time stamped note in the audit trail when they have needed to do something unusual or non-compliant with the process. 

The end result is that permit auditors have more complete information on unusual activities without the need to seek explanations from personnel.

To use this new feature simply go to the audit trail tab and click on the Add Comment button.  A small window appears for entering text. Click OK to close and the note is then added to the audit trail.
